Here’s a compiled list of all the things I didn’t know I needed, until I didn’t have them.
1. Really, really, comfortable walking shoes. Here are my two favorites. One is a little dressier than the other.
2. A mini steamer, because I learned most Euro rooms do not come equipped with an iron & also because I hate wrinkly clothes.
3. Travel packing cubes. I use these exact ones from Amazon every time we. travel. They help me save space and stay organized - double win.
4. SD card adapter so you can get all those amazing pics on your phone ASAP. My Canon has wifi, but sometimes it doesn’t connect, this is more reliable.
5. A European travel plug adaptor. Don’t forget one of these, trust me. I’ve blown a fuse or two using the ones they give you at the hotel.
6. The convertible daypack my husband swears by.
7. A portable hammock to pop up wherever there are 2 trees and a pretty sunset. It may sound silly, but this is our favorite for tropical trips.
8. A really good book. Check out my Amazon Storefront for my latest picks!
9. A reusable water bottle. We found that water costs more than wine overseas and having one of these handy can help you save some money. (and spend more of it on wine, duh lol)
10. A rechargeable book light for reading/travel journaling on the plane & train.
11. A really cute travel planner.
12. A reusable toiletries kit, because ya know what’s worse than having to throw away your $34 shampoo in the TSA line? Nothing.
13. A cute travel fanny pack. Here are some of my favorites:
14. All-in-one cosmetics case. Here are some of my faves:
15. Last but not least and worth the splurge, noise cancelling headphones for those long & noisy flights.
